May I Introduce Two New Members of the Family
My intention this morning was to introduce Frances Grace on my blog, but priorities changed when Jeff called asking me to meet him, Alice, Samantha, Malia, Ryan, and great-grandson, Banks, at Mimi's for brunch. What a pleasant surprise to get to see some of my most-favorite people in the world. Here are a few pix of five-month-old Banks with his mother, Malia, Auntie Samantha and his Grandpa, Jeff.
Banks was a dream, never crying once during our-hour-and-a-half brunch get together. Sadly, I didn't get a shot of his proud Papa, Ryan, or his Grandma, Alice.
Back home I determined it is about time to also introduce Frances Grace, my six-month-old Miniature Poodle, who joined Lacy and me in late June, to make us a family of three in El Dorado Hills.

Thirteen-year-old Lacy and I named our puppy after Saint Francis, the patron saint of pets. Frances, though day-by-day improving, is yet to be any other-world-saintly as her name might imply. She is a joy and also a fired up pistol, abounding in energy throughout the day, giving me reason to be thankful for evening and her descent into calm tranquility after an ever-most active day. She will be a great dog . . . someday.
