Just a short post to tell you I'm alive and that's about all I can say. Today was supposed to be the big turn-around day. It did not happen. I'm still completely wiped out. I'm at Galveston Island State Park, which I'd never be able to prove; as I've seen nothing but the inside of this rig.
I'm sick and tired of being sick and tired. I still have the aches and pains and a very productive cough that sets off the vice grip on my head and neck. I'm wasted. I paid until tomorrow but will ask to stay at least one more day before I try to get at headed in a westerly direction.
I hope all is well with my followers and will get caught up on your activities ASAP.

ReplyDeleteI'll tell you, I've had some unkind thoughts about people who mix in socially when they should be secluding themselves. This is absolutely the worst case of flu I've ever had.

ReplyDeleteI checked in with my doc in California. I'm doing all the right stuff and should expect changes for the better within the next three days. She says it's two weeks wit treatment and 14 days without!

ReplyDeleteThanks Betty. See above about seeing a doctor. I'm conscientious about the possibility of a super infection (bacterial) that could be treated with antibiotics - as of now I'm not experiencing no bacterial infection symptoms. So I'm just waiting (impatiently) and coughing!
DeleteIt is said that nurses are the worst patients! I recommend a few shots of Tequila, that will scare this bug right out of you.

and depending upon which route you're going to take... I wouldn't be heading across all that way feeling bad ... nine days just to get out of Texas... ;)
At this point nothing fancy in the plan, just move - at least a little. It'll just mean I'll have to come bak again (three times in a year!) to see all I'm missing this time around. I'm hoping to at least get to see Marfa, as that's been on my Texas Bucket List since I saw the 60 Minutes bit on the town over a year ago.
