I meant to add a few tidbits of information about the goings-on of some family members:
1) Yesterday, my lovely number three granddaughter, Holland, departed for New York, Istanbul and finally Germany to attend an International Bible College. The grandkids' childhoods go by so quickly .... Here's a photo of Holland and her mom and dad, taken before her Graduation ceremony on May 31st of this year:
Holland is one of the sweetest, most caring people in the World. I'm so happy for her in her first really solo adventure. She left Sacramento at 6AM and will eventually arrive at her final destination on Friday. She's accompanied by one friend who'll be attending the college with her and I know she'll have all kinds of adventures to share along the way.
2) Yesterday would have been my 53rd wedding anniversary. As John and I have remained friends over the years since our divorce I actually enjoy reminiscing about our long life together.
3) And, tomorrow will be John's 75th birthday - wow! I met him when he was 20!
4) Daughter Kari continues her passion for triathlon. She'll compete this coming Sunday in an Ironman competition at Lake Tahoe .... that's a 2.5-mile swim, 112-mile bike and 26.2-mile run!!!! She's an incredible athlete in addition to being one of the World's best wives and mothers. You go girl! Hopefully I'll receive some photos to share. I wish I could be there.
This is a pic of Kari taken last September while she visited me in Antigua, Guatemala.
