More Villa Corona

March 8, 2013

OMG!  I just realized last evening that I forgot to return to the shoemaker in Sayulita, from whom I ordered and paid a deposit for two handmade pairs of shoes!  This morning I emailed Dee Medd, who will be there until next week, asking him if he'd be willing to search out the shoemaker [of course I don't recall the name of the shop - or its exact location].  "Yes," came the answer from Dee; he's found the store and paid the balance on the bill - the total cost for the two pairs of handmade leather shoes is about $70.  Fred and Mary Jane will carry them home to Modesto and I can stop and pick them up on my way North on Interstate 5 - whenever that will be!  What good friends.  y the way, I really enjoyed catching up with Dee, whom I've known since I was about 16 but haven't seen in probably 20 years.  And, I so like his girlfriend of many years, Mary Jane.  It will be fun to share experiences when I see them in California.  Of course, it'd be nice to have the shoes to wear here in Mexico - c'est la vie!
