Palm Sunday 3/24/13 Valle de Juarez
I rode into Valle de Juarez on an All Terrain Vehicle (ATV) with Paul, from British Colombia to watch Jesu cross the reservoir [river Jordan] in a row boat; come up on this side and mount a donkey to be escorted joyously by the Roman Army and His apostles to the Church on La Plaza Central. Jesu was the same young gentleman I talked about in the parade the other day – sooo handsome. I took lots of pix and some videos too.
This afternoon, upon our return from the pueblo, I made fried chicken with gravy (with white wine), rice and sautéed zucchini. I made it all early; then went to the Happy Hour – many new RV-ers!
The Internet has been totally out of service; although Renate and others who have a TELCEL stick (banda ancha) have been getting fantastic reception all day. This situation is really frustrating. I’m going to keep trying to buy one so I can stay in touch with family and friends at home.
I watched “Lincoln” on video and really enjoyed it more this second time as I’d missed some of the dialog the first time in the theater. Speaking of Lincoln, my little Lincoln really wants to go outside; but not on a leash – so no deal!!!
I’m reading The Spring of the Tiger by Victoria Holt published in 1979. Interesting.
Weather today is not as windy, but still windy, and a little warmer. It got up to 87 degrees inside the RV this afternoon. This morning I defrosted the refrigerator; only took about 30 minutes using the hair dryer – easy peasy.
